Laurie: I plan on submitting more illustration work once I’m done with the current comic I’m working on. It’s more in line with the type of art I would like to be drawing, even if my actual comics are all over the board. Not sure I’d ever do an actual art show, since my finished pieces always end up on the computer, but I’m sure I’ll be able to find more illustration work once I’ve a solid, consistent style to show. Art directors seem to be looking more for artists who are solid in a single style than a variety artist.

Blue: Thanks! Made it through last month, and I’ll make it through the next! Just gotta keep chuggin’ along and have faith that there will always be a roof over my head and food on the table. :)

Keep a stiff upper lip as the Brit’s would say. I am sorry to hear that you are having a bit of a rough patch, being on ones own does help in the relisation of ones self. And it’s wonderful, but also there is the downside of bills…CURS YOU BILLS!!! But no matter how long you take I will wait paicently on whatever comes next. *Hug* Good Luck and work at your own pace.

on another note, your illustrations are so vibrant, have you ever thought of submitting them to magazines, spectrum, or art directors?

I know you work a lot either way, but you are in NY, maybe you can get some contact info and submit work to illustration/graphic design departments. Maybe local shown art galleries?
